The New Me Front

For the Final for Concept Art we were supposed to "Design a character based off yourself." I had to write a description of the character too, so here it is:

This character was created from a stolen human body (presumably mine) and robotic parts. She was set to guard a door in the middle of a dimension that has no natural life, and in which time does not progress normally. Because of this she does not age or rust. She doesn’t know where the door leads to, only that it’s important that no one goes through. The world of that dimension is gray; there is no sun or moon or stars, but just a flat muddy plain with the door in the center. She has been guarding the door for what would be several hundred years here, and will keep doing it until the universe ends. If anyone comes to the dimension and tries to open the door she is supposed to kill and eat them. She is a minor character, the sort that the main characters would have to trick in order to pass by in a story, like a troll that guards a bridge.

The top portion of her body is human and the bottom is robotic, with spider-like legs at the bottom. The legs can change in length depending on need or visual effect. This allows her to a) look cool b) better catch people who run away. Despite the fact that she is half robot, she is also a sort of fairy tale creature. Her dress is a living part of her and flows like smoke. The magic letter replacing her right eye is the thing that keeps her alive. If she tries to leave the area surrounding the door the letter will disappear and she’ll turn into dust. However, she doesn’t mind her job at all, and is a friendly and cheerful person. She always tries to have a pleasant chat with her victims before she eats them, bones and all.
